So Blessed!

I walked around the neighborhood with our neighbors Dan, Austin, Lynda and Christy.  The
tornado that destroyed Speedee's apparently jumped over a house then destroyed their huge tree then went down Dan's alley.  The tornado came within a block of my house with my husband and daughter inside.  We were very lucky.  Here are some pictures of the damage that I took yesterday.
T
It was interesting how the boards were still nailed to the fence but were in shards.

This is the big tree that was destroyed.  It's hard to see but it was split practically in half, right down the center.  The people who live here are very lucky they still have their house.
This is right down the street from us.

Fence and backyard-wise, this is the worst one I saw.  It took down their fence, a basketball goal and shredded a tree or two.  We saw them drive into their drive way.  Surely they already knew!
The rest of this tree is in their backyard.  It looks like firewood waiting to be chopped.
I couldn't believe it when the teachers were saying there was a tornado on Tripp and Galloway.  Then I heard about the Speedee.  This is just around the corner from where we live.

The whole back side s gone.  The guy you can barely see in the photo has his arm bandaged.  The O'Reilly people said they saw the tornado set right down on Speedee's then came right back up.  Now they have a chain link fence going all the way around so no one can get close.  It's been the  poster child of the storms in Mesquite.

Well kinda sorta not really.  It's just been a busy week with the CBA's at school and spending three hours in the hallway yesterday with literally hundreds of kids. Matt and Bree were home and a tornado came within a block from our house.   Our house is fine.  The roof is a bit messed up but what else is new.

Tomorrow is our last day of the week since we have Good Friday off.  My mom is having her hip replacement surgery on Friday so that's where I'll be.

Matt's ct scan results came back and he needs his lungs checked.  The rest of his insides came back healthy.  He's still tired a lot but seems better.

Traci my Lou came home today and will be here till Monday.  YAY  Love that girl!

Keri's having her senior pictures taken on Monday at 4:30.  It should hopefully be fun.  We pick her dress up from being tailored on Saturday.  She will be total gorgeosity.

Same ol for Breezi-anna.  She is going to an Alcohol Awareness class three days a week.  She enjoys that and going to her AA meetings.

Time to sleep.  I want a sandwich but too tired to go make one.  I'm too hungry to sleep.  It's a vicious cycle. Am I more tired or hungry?

OK, just for fun!  Look at my dad's new haircut!  It may have upset Georgia but I think he is still cute!  Love my daddy!
