The First of the Lasts for Her Magesty of Captainship

 What an exciting weekend we had.  Keri performed in her last Variety show.  It's kind of bittersweet.  She has enjoyed choir so much and now it's almost over.  No, she won't be singing in college any more.  I'll miss her beautiful voice.  Hey Traci went to the Saturday show and she was majorly impressed how good Keri is.  She said she had no idea.  Grandma came to the Friday show and enjoyed it as well.  I thought I better take a picture of her there so it can proved that she went!  She seems to be a proud grandma.  Sad that Grandpa and Georgia weren't able to be there but we understand.  They'll come to her Varsity Belles Spring Show in two weeks.  Yippee Yah Yeah!  I can't wait but on the other hand once it's over so will her majesty's captainship!  Officer try-outs will be to follow shortly after so there!

The show began with a slide show that Mrs. Westgate
put together and she started with her cutest, sweetest and most intelligent and talented none other than Keri Lee CareBear herself!!!  Here's what Keri's slides looked like.  I don't remember the rest of it because the first was so magnificent.  I'm sure all of the other parents felt the same way, ya know!
I can't say that I am terribly impressed with the actual pictures of Keri that were used as she was
 on her way to school and got lost and some poor lost soul who happened to have her camera had an idea to TAKE A PICTURE of this piece of loveliness and put it in a slide show for choir!  Yeah, that's what happened!  I need to re-teach the route to school so Keri won't be in any more danger of someone taking pictures of her just spinning and spinning and spinning!  Get to school Keri!  Ya ain't gradgiated yet sistur!
 Well the show started with Keri wearing her lovely one-shouldered blue polka dot dress to sing September. Next to her you see another singer wearing jeans and a blue top.  I was thrilled to have both of them in this picture so that far far in the future I will remember the vision of loveliness that our majesty captainship was when she was still only 17.  Just wait Keri, just you wait.  Oh but I do like your wedges. I am glad that you were able to whine and coherce me into buying them for you because they do make your feet look like pieces of loveliness as well.
 Well here are four of the very most talented girls in all the land and two of them get lucky enough to be sitting by Her Majesty Herself, Queen Captain CareBear.  They really did all sing this song beautifully.  I liked it and I liked to look at the cowboy boots that were on Keri's feet, only imagining just how much her tootsies hurt inside them.  Traci wouldn't let her borrow her new boots that she bought and paid for with her own money.  SO THERE KERI!  Hey, she did say you could wear her new dress to gradgiation, you know the green and white one since mom ain't getting ya a gradgiation dress since she bought you all these clothes for your Variety Show.  I'm not sure if she'll throw the boots into the pot as that would take just too much luck OR a generous sissie and I don't think you have either.

Well it seems one may get the impression from this picture that Keri was proposed to ON STAGE at the show.  I mean, look at those two!
-------------------------------------------------------------->
Don't they look like they're in LOVE????  Dang that guy was lucky to get to dance with Keri all night. I don't think I've mentioned how dang adorable she was in everything.  I wish you would see how sweet she looks in the pastel peach top and lacy cream skirt that she stole from her sister.  I think this song "Marry Me" was one of Keri's favorites.  I bet it was one of HIS too.
This was a touching moment though, really!
The Variety boys and girls went onstage in their classy black and white outfits and invited all alumni but especially the most important alumni to go up and sing with the group.  Megan's voice cracked as she held back the tears when telling Mrs. Westgate to COME ON DOWN!  The price is right!  Free!  Mrs. Westgate is the pregnant lady in the brown shirt on the far right.  Seems to hiding behind Megan but until then I had forgotten she had gradgiated from Poteet and had sung in that there Variety herself.  Keri will miss you Mrs. Westgate!  Take good care of your baby!

Keri said this was her favorite song to sing and dance to, "Too Hot to Samba."  The kids looked very striking in all their black and red. I like Keri's skirt. I wish I could get her one just like it but her friend Kelsey wants it back. I love love love watching my child perform on stage. I just can't believe it's the same girl who was as shy as a ladybug just a couple of years ago.  Now she rocks the stage.
Down below on the left is a picture of her Senior Self singing Beautiful Disaster. I learned a lot from this song. I now know that Keri has a boyfriend that just doesn't communicate well but he is beautiful, but a beautiful disaster. I mean, well, if he would just tell her what he's after, he could still be beautiful but not a beautiful disaster.  Which one is better?  I don't know but they don't write songs about people who are beautiful.  There's gotta be something ELSE about them to make them stand out.  This one's a DISASTER.  Keri, stay away from him!  By the looks of your room, you're a huge disaster yourself.  (By the way, you ARE beautiful!)

OK, so I got ambitious and video recorded the last song of the evening. I was never a Michael Jackson fan per se, but I was incredible curious about the circumstances of his death and finances and parenthoodship.  But I really do like a few of his songs and this one is one of my favorites.  ABC/I Want You Back.  Oh by the way.  Keri is the cute one.  In the pink dress if you couldn't tell where the cute one was!
And you're welcome.  I know you were dying to actually hear her sing.

Well, seeing as how I already took my ambien like four hours ago and I need to wake up and go to work in about four more, I guess I'll say Goodnight!!!!!!!!!!!! I sang it just like they did in the Sound of Music!
