It's the first New Year's Eve party we've had in our house which is surprising because our youngest is 17. We were pretty much banned to the bedroom while the party was going on. It sounded like they were having fun and Keri was happy but I was glad to find some pictures she posted on facebook. Keri was definitely in her element so I am glad we agreed to the party.
Someone must have been standing on the fireplace bricks to get up above like this. This girl with her is one of her best friends these days. Keri said all of these kids are the BEST kind of kids...we didn't have to worry about alcohol being snuck in or anything like that. Keri told me she was offended that I would even ask!
Someone brought the Wii and that was a huge part of the entertainment at the party. We had bought some crackers and poppers so they also enjoyed going into the front yard at midnight to make lots of noise. I figure we are very quiet neighbors so on New Year's Eve so it would be ok to make some
noise. Sorry neighbors! It makes me uncomfortable. After that they were drinking it up (apple cider) and Keri's front tooth got chipped a little. She goes to the dentist on January 10. I am hoping he can just file it down a little. Don't want to mess up that beautiful smile.
Bree and Traci had their own New Year's Eve plans. Traci was home earlier than I thought she would be. Ugh, I just remembered she is flying to Nevada tonight! As glad as I am she is going to see her family out there is as anxious I am for her safety. I'll miss her so much. By the time she gets back I'll have been back to work for three days.
